Tahoe Expedition Academy’s Rainbow Run, Rock and Roll is a family friendly community event involving a 5K run/walk, a shortened course for those on wheels, live musical performances, local art vendors, community booths, food trucks and more.

For 2024 we gathered in the Salty Gebhardt Amphitheater at the Truckee Regional Park for a family friendly celebration of PRIDE. We had a full line up of musicians, including Steel Sparrows, TEA’s Rock Band, dj David Mack and more. Truckee Dance Factory, Inner Rhythms were also on stage performing. Big Blue Q and Super Swirl were on site selling their delicious food. Local vendors had items available for purchase and community organizations will be staffing informational booths.
This out and back fun run/walk will starts and finishes on the paved Legacy Trail above the Lower River BBQ plaza. After departing in self-identified mile time waves, participants follow a mostly flat course along the Truckee River. They pass the East River Foot Bridge before a short descent. The course goes under Hwy 267 just before passing the one water station. The course continues along the path, over a wooden footbridge and up a slight hill before bearing right to reach the turnaround location. The race follows the Legacy Trail back to where the event began.
The Rainbow Run, Rock & Roll is proud to have been a culminating celebration of a full week of 2024 PRIDE festivities.
