Annual Giving Campaign

2024-2025

Every day, our school strives to do the impossible

We aim to create learning environments that support students in reaching their full potential as curious, compassionate, and capable global citizens who are gifted at collaborating in TEAms and navigating complex challenges.

Our founders believed this type of innovative school was possible and put the building blocks (academics, character, adventure, constructive adversity and real world learning) into place so that we could achieve something remarkable, not only for the students who could afford to pay, but also for those who couldn’t. Day in and day out we ask the “impossible” of our teachers. We ask them to exhibit exemplary skills both inside the classroom and outside. We ask them to model adaptability, empathy and advocacy and to help nurture those traits in their students. We ask them to be problem solvers, and to celebrate the problems solving skills of their students. Ultimately, we are asking them to build our students’ capacity to thrive in the new world, where social intelligence, adaptability and creativity are paramount.

Just like the first space explorers, our vision is ambitious: Build character through calculated risk taking while studying the complex problems of today in the real world.

just like space exploration requires perseverance, teamwork, and resources, our Mission to Cultivate a New Generation of Creative Problem Solvers with a Social Conscience depends upon the same factors

We can only hope to develop students’ ability to thrive in the face of uncertainty with your support. Together, we can help them travel to distant lands to learn first hand about the challenges facing our global community and then inspire them to bring their flexible, resilient, and problem-solving mindsets back into their classrooms and communities.

A gift to this campaign is a vital demonstration of support for inclusivity and equal access through our financial assistance program, where we provide $1.6 million in aid to 33% of our student body, for our remarkable teachers who inspire, challenge, and care for our students, and for our unique learning model which has the potential to shape innovative education on a national level.

Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 in support of financial aid, faculty compensation, facilities, and fieldwork

… it provides a priceless opportunity for interested students who would otherwise not be able to afford our program.

… it is an investment in our educators, who selflessly dedicate their lives to supporting the growth of young people.

… it is a commitment to our transportation department and our facilities, which are critical in order to deliver on our mission of getting out into the real world.

… it closes the $8300 per student gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of our program.

… it is the most direct way to support our unique student experience — engaging meaningful projects inside and out of the classroom.

…and it is a commitment to helping TEA disrupt educational norms on a national level as we strive to help students cultivate skills to solve real problems, adapt to change, and persevere through life’s challenges.
