TEA Players - Upper School

Theatrical Rehearsals, Performances and Workshops

Due to popular demand, TEA’s award winning theatre program, TEA Players is now being offered to Upper School students!

TEA Players in grades 7th – 12th grade will be rehearsing and performing Shrek Jr., a hilarious and heartwarming adaptation based on the Oscar-winning film and the outrageous Broadway musical. In this “big bright beautiful world,” everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an unforgettable adventure to rescue Princess Fiona and find true acceptance. This musical is filled with humor, romance, and a powerful message of self-acceptance, Shrek Jr. is irreverently fun for the whole family.

The story begins in a faraway swamp, where Shrek’s peaceful life is disrupted by a group of banished fairytale creatures cast off by the ambitious Lord Farquaad. To reclaim his home, Shrek embarks on a journey with his wisecracking companion, Donkey, to confront Farquaad. Along the way, Shrek faces unexpected challenges, including winning the heart of the feisty Princess Fiona and dealing with the twists and turns that only a fairytale can bring. Throughout the performance, the cast learns valuable lessons about the importance of embracing differences, the power of perseverance, strength and self-acceptance.
