Friday Hearth Little Library and Special Guest
Our Elementary School had an extra special Friday Forum this past week as the 3rd Grade, Martis Peak Crew, presented their “Little Library” to share with the entire school. To celebrate the opening, a friend from United Way who graciously donated the cost of all the materials, cut the ribbon! Martis Peak Crew built the library with the help of parents to encourage reading and the sharing of books.
Truckee mayor, Carolyn Wallace attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. Our own 3rd grader, Bree Richards, bravely met the mayor at an event this week and asked if she would be willing to come and support the class in their efforts to bring attention to the love of reading.
