High School Ski TEAm
Slalom and Giant Slalom Ski Racing at its Best!
Relaunched in the 22-23 School Yr, our competitive High School Ski TEAm is back and trains and competes in slalom and giant slalom events at local ski resorts like Sugar Bowl, Palisades Tahoe and Northstar, with Championships Races at Mammoth Mountain and/or Shasta (TBA). The official ’25 California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) race season begins in January and ends with the state championships in March. Races alternate between Sugar Bowl, Palisades Tahoe and Northstar Ski Resorts. Practices are planned to begin in December to tune up for the big race season ahead.
Details
Who: 9th – 12th grade student-athletes who ski at an advanced to expert level.
When: January – March, practices begin in December at Boreal / Auburn Ski Club
Where: Training sessions at Boreal, with races at Tahoe and Truckee ski resorts.
Ski Coaches: Jon Jacobson and Taylor Simmers.
Schedule: Listed on the school calendar, the practice schedule will be share out internally.
TEAm Size: Designed for five or more student-athletes with ski experience and ideally some race experience. An ability to ski black runs with sound technique, speed and confidence is a requirement.
Competition: This TEAm will compete locally and abroad in CNISSF (CIF) sanctioned races.
Register: $0 per student-athlete, click HERE to register. A separate program fee will be paid to Auburn Ski Club for evening gate training access typically on Wednesdays. Does not include race day lift passes. Team participation is only available to enrolled TEA student-athletes.
