Sierra Sun covers Tahoe Expedition Academy’s wins at the 2025 Junior Theater Festival West.
Members of TEA Players headed to Sacramento to participate in the Junior Theater Festival, West 2025. Our students, ages 8-17 had the opportunity to perform in front of a panel of judges, and a room full of other theater programs, a 15 minute set from their Spring musical, Shrek, JR. Not only does this event offer a chance for our students to experience theater competition, but it also allows our students the opportunity to interact with like minded students from around the world, offering a space of inclusion and connection. Our students are gifted with a safe space to be their authentic selves and expand their capacity of creativity through a collection of workshops and performances by professionals in the industry. It is a tiring, yet rewarding weekend and our students come back filled not only with further techniques and mastery of their art, but with the confidence and knowledge that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
