Tahoe Expedition Academy Students Sing National Anthem
TEA students of all ages sang the national anthem and one lucky student Kate Geis threw out the first pitch at the Reno Aces game on May 16th, 2016. TEA students raised money for their school and sold over 100 tickets to the game.

Parents, students, faculty and staff who were in attendance enjoyed great family fun and an exciting game that the Aces ended up winning!
Students and adults gobbled up the cotton candy highs followed by trips to the bounce house past the outfield wall. What a great way to reward the students’ hard working endeavors.
Taylor Simmers writes, “for the second year in a row, our students performed admirably in front of hundreds of family, friends and baseball fans at a Reno Aces game. In fact, the Ace’s staff told Eric that our students were the best sounding and most confident group they’ve ever had.
Given our amazing music teachers, Mark and Emily, and the program Emily has developed over the past four years, this news comes as little surprise. Our music teachers have instilled in our students the courage and desire to actually want to perform – something that so many people cringe at doing.
It is Emily’s authentic love and support over the years that has given our students the confidence and the drive to take risks, to stand before a live audience and to sing loud and proud. It has been her consistent, nurturing force that has led our students onto the stage.
Needless to say, Emily and Mark’s own professional music careers, courage and talent serve as shining lights for their students. With such beacons in charge of leading our students, we can agree that there will be more good things to come from our budding artists.”
