High School Basketball Season Wrap-up
Did you know TEA fielded a co-ed HS Basketball TEAm this Winter? Incredibly the TEAm finished its inaugural season undefeated. A big thank you to all players, parents and coaches for an outstanding first season!
TEA Dominates the Podium at the 42nd Annual Great Ski Race
When TEA students Sadie and Joachim Tucker woke up on one very blustery Sunday morning, they may have collectively wished their parents’ alarm would fail to go off. But in true TEA fashion, staying home was not an option for ninth grader, Sadie Tucker, sixth grader Joachim Tucker, and TEA’s extraordinary biathlon coaches, Eric Martin and Karen Ropers.
4th-Grade Hutchinson Lodge Overnight Hut Trip
While on this overnight adventure, students learned all about how the Leave No Trace principles apply to shared spaces like a backcountry hut, spent several hours cross country skiing both off-trail and on, and talked about how to keep themselves warm, dry, and safe in the backcountry in the winter.
TEA Volleyball Season Wrap Up
The Girls MS Volleyball TEAm just finished its first ever season this week. Looking ahead to the next school year, this dedicated TEAm will compete in the Tah-Neva middle school league against schools like ACMS, Lake Tahoe School, South Tahoe, Carson City, and other nearby schools.
Heroes of High Fives
For their 6th-grade Learning Expedition, our students were involved in a deep study of mythology, its purposes, and elements. Students studied the archetypal storyline of the hero’s journey which has been repeated in literature throughout the centuries. Our students were then connected with several High Fives athletes to interview, record and narrate each of their hero’s journeys to create their final product book “The Heroes of High Fives.”

What It’s Like to Be a Biathlete
As part of our Yearbook class, we are exploring different ways to share content like creating blog posts, posting photos, making films, and compiling them together to create multi-media content. This past spring, the class of 2021 traveled to Washington DC to study war and its effect on society with their own eyes. They interviewed several experts including professors and veterans to formulate their own opinion on this controversial topic. Watch their video recap!
