Two Weeks to Go!

It’s hard to believe, but there are just two weeks left in the school year! As we sprint toward graduation, academic celebrations, and summer adventures, we wanted to share a few important reminders to help everyone finish the year smoothly.

Family End-of-Year Checklist

  • Check the Lost & Found for any missing jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, and gear.
  • Return all TEA library books.
  • Return any school-issued uniforms or borrowed equipment.
  • Keep an eye out for communications from room parents and crew leaders regarding end-of-year celebrations and classroom activities.

Spirit Week is Here!
One of our favorite TEA traditions returns this week as we celebrate the end of the year with Spirit Week and All-School Olympics.

Themes
  • Tuesday, June 2: Pancakes & Pajamas Day
  • Wednesday, June 3: Sports Day
  • Thursday, June 4: Anything But a Backpack Day
  • Friday, June 5: All-School Olympics Team Day

For All-School Olympics on Friday, students should come dressed in their assigned team color. The day will begin with regular classes, followed by lunch at 11:00 a.m. and Olympics activities beginning around 11:30 a.m.

To help everyone have a safe and fun afternoon, please make sure your child:
  • Wears sunscreen
  • Brings a full water bottle
  • Comes dressed in their team color

Students will spend the afternoon competing in games, enjoying snacks, celebrating with friends, and making memories together.

A huge thank you to TAP and our parent volunteers for helping make this beloved tradition possible.

Let’s finish the year strong, together! ☀️🏅🎉

PreK Hiking

The Challenge Hike: A TEA Tradition

On Monday, June 8, PreK students will participate in one of our most meaningful end-of-year traditions: the Challenge Hike.

Each year, our youngest students set out to accomplish something that feels enormous: a six-mile hike carrying their own packs. Along the way, they are supported by some of our oldest students, who serve as mentors, encouragers, and trail companions.

What makes the Challenge Hike so special is that success is not measured by how fast anyone reaches the finish line. It is measured by how we help one another get there.

Like so many TEA traditions, the Challenge Hike is about far more than the miles traveled. It is about who students become along the way.

So Many Reasons to Celebrate!

The final days of the school year are here, and we hope you'll join us for several meaningful opportunities to celebrate our students and their growth.

Passages
Passages are one of TEA's most powerful traditions, inviting students to reflect on their learning, character development, and personal growth. Families are warmly encouraged to attend and support our students as they share their stories.
  • 8th Grade Passages: June 1 (1:45–3:45 p.m.), June 2 (2:05–3:45 p.m.), and June 3 (2:10–3:45 p.m.) in Building One
  • Senior Passages: June 8-9 from 11:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Building One

Lower School Celebrations of Learning
Our Lower School students are excited to showcase their work and learning:

Upper School Celebration of Learning & 8th Grade Graduation
Join us on Wednesday, June 10, for the Upper School Celebration of Learning (4:15pm-5:30pm) and 8th Grade Graduation (6pm) as we honor the accomplishments of our students and mark this important transition for our rising high schoolers.

Last Day of School & Beach Party
Thursday, June 11 is the final day of school and a half day for students. After dismissal, families are invited to continue the celebration at the annual Beach Party at Donner Lake beginning at 12:30 p.m.

Truckee Fourth Of July Parade
We are thrilled to once again be participating in Truckee’s Fourth of July Parade. We had such a blast last year!! Stay tuned for details about how you and your family can join in the fun.

As we close another remarkable year, we hope you'll join us in celebrating the learning, growth, perseverance, and community that make TEA so special.
