2026 Gala: Grit & Glamour

Join the Tahoe Expedition Academy community for an unforgettable evening celebrating the perseverance, creativity, and bold spirit that define TEA. The Grit & Glamour Gala blends western heritage with Tahoe elegance—featuring incredible food, craft cocktails, exciting entertainment, and a lively auction—all in support of the students and educators who make our school extraordinary.

Funds raised during the evening support faculty excellence, fieldwork, financial aid, and student programs, ensuring that TEA students continue to experience transformative learning and real-world impact.

  • Tahoe Expedition Academy (TEA) invites you to support our students with an individual, family, or corporate sponsorship. Your generous contribution will provide critically needed funds for financial assistance, student resources, faculty compensation, and fieldwork.

  • The Gala TEAm is thrilled to be able to provide the opportunity for you to sign up for childcare for your TEA student(s) at Everline Resort so that you may enjoy your evening in peace, knowing your children are being well taken care of and are close by. One adult guide and several High School Students will provide supervision throughout the evening. Childcare will be provided ON SITE in a play area located below the Gala Ballroom. Dinner, snacks, and activities will be provided. Childcare doors will open at 4:45pm and close at 11:15pm.

On Saturday, May 17th, parents, staff, faculty and friends of TEA gathered at Everline Resort & Spa in support of our “Celebrating Legacies: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” Gala.  We honored Sherry McConkey (founder of the Shane McConkey Foundation) and Rosie Striffler (founding TEA Kindergarten teacher) with Constructive Adversity Awards in recognition of their tremendous perseverance, compassion, and positive impact on the lives of young people. The evening was an inspiring testament to the passion and generosity of our community. Ultimately, we raised $1,161,700 for scholarships, faculty compensation, and fieldwork from our online silent auction, live auction and Fund-The-Need. We could not be more grateful to our Sponsors and Donors for their generous outpouring of support for our students and program.
