Tahoe Expedition Academy is a coeducational Pre-K-12 school located on 42-acres in Truckee, California, minutes away from beautiful Lake Tahoe. TEA, as we call it, is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and was created ten years ago to change the face of education and harness the infinite power of the next generation of problem solvers.

TEA was founded with a modern experiential approach that uses the power of Constructive Adversity to transform the lives of young people. We do this by pushing them past their comfort zones and allowing them to utilize collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity to take on the world’s most pressing problems. Our students spend countless days and nights in the field every year, traveling to regional, national and international locations to learn and develop as engaged citizens of the world.

Our students learn through experience in complex issues and challenging situations, whether it is in the classroom, on our beautiful campus, in the thousands of acres of wilderness that surrounds us, or in field experiences around the country and around the world.
