How We Monitor Student Progress at TEA

At TEA, we use a balanced and holistic approach to understanding each student’s growth. Throughout the year, students take benchmark assessments that help us identify strengths, spot areas where support may be needed, and guide instruction in meaningful ways. These benchmarks include mCLASS Reading and Math (K–6) and STAR assessments (3–8).

Benchmark data is shared with families during Parent-Teacher Conferences or by request. While these assessments provide helpful snapshots, they are just one part of our overall progress-monitoring system. Teachers also rely on daily classwork, curriculum-based assessments, writing samples, projects, and observations to build a complete picture of each learner.

This multi-layered approach ensures we support every child’s academic journey with clarity, care, and intention. Families are always welcome to reach out to our Student Support team with questions.
